This short text will define my thoughts about my blog and audience, there will be no photography tips and techniques you can use daily.
All photographers and photography fans can name themselves photography geeks or just photo geek as person alone. I will explain this topic in few minutes if you will keep reading.
Who is photo geek?
What did you say: geek, nerd, guru? Never heard of this term? 🙂 Let’s see what wikipedia can tell us about geek term:
The word geek is a slang term originally used to describe eccentric or non-mainstream people; in current use, the word typically connotes an expert or enthusiast or a person obsessed with a hobby or intellectual pursuit, with a general pejorative meaning of a “peculiar or otherwise dislikable person, especially one who is perceived to be overly intellectual”.[1]
Although often considered as a pejorative, the term is also used self-referentially without malice or as a source of pride. Its meaning has evolved to connote “someone who is interested in a subject (usually intellectual or complex) for its own sake”.
I think it is much more clear and I do not have to describe word photo- it is the same word as photography, just for shorten.
So collocation will be photo geek
Several people, which, I believe could be called as photo geeks in photography world: Scott Kelby, Karl Taylor, Kai Man Wong and many many more. I have just mention these persons because they get me motivated to learn and know more about photography techniques and tips.

No, I am not serious. You don‘t need to do that if you do not want to. Just keep an eye on interest and curiosity of your life, it does not have to be photography, maybe you are interested in programing, or repairing cars, maybe you are coin collector. Anywhere you feel passion- do not stop dreaming, and do what ever it takes to create happy life, take pride.
But if you have decided to become photography geek- there is long long way ahead: seek all photo equipment new‘s, try to learn more and more photography trick‘s and techniques, read books, watch dvd‘s- no not about Fast and furious 7- get in courses about photography to improve skills. Practice alot, try to implement your knowledge- just do whatever it takes to reach the goal.
What equipment should I buy to become Photo Geek?
No You do not need super pro series digital camera, it is enough what you are using now. There is no need to buy latest technology at once, if we fail to exploit full resource. Remember: it is not camera making images, but people do it!
